• Formwork Engineering

Formwork is the temporary structure or “mold” used to retain concrete in its fluid shape until it sufficiently hardens to create structural elements such as walls, beams, slabs, columns, and footings. At LVSC, we utilize our expertise to create practical and cost-effective formwork designs that ensure safety on your job site.

LVSC offers design and engineering of proprietary formwork systems that are applicable for many construction projects of all different types. We have experience providing designs and engineering for all of the most commonly used proprietary forming systems on the market today. We can provide a design starting from scratch, or we can provide you with a review and Professional Engineer certification of your own design. LVSC is not affiliated with any proprietary formwork supplier, so we can also help you decide which formwork system will work best for your specific project.

In certain instances, a standard proprietary formwork system will not work, so a custom-designed form becomes necessary. Custom formwork can be used when a practical or cost-effective design cannot be achieved by using proprietary forms, or when the project requires more complex formwork for a specialized use.

Sometimes formwork systems are simply not the most practical way to construct a project. Contractors sometimes own many different types of forms and simply prefer to use off-the-shelf lumber, steel, and aluminum products. Our team of formwork engineers can provide job-built designs to use any type of material that the client has available to utilize. Whether choosing to mix and match numerous proprietary forms, or using 2 x 4’s and plywood, our team of formwork engineers develop unique solutions to solve any challenge.
